This sturdy shield has a reinforced face with steel bands and solid shield boss. The rim is also steel. Back of the shield has a wood grip with leather arm strap. 22.5" diameter and weighs about 7 lbs.

The Real Deal
I got this shield for a Viking impression and its well-nigh perfect. It is substantial both in size and its beefy construction It would likely stand up well to genuine impacts from spears, swords, axes, etc. I could not be more pleased with this purchase.
