Replica panel from the Franks Casket. The original is Anglo-Saxon from the 8th century and now in the British Museum. This panel depicts Romulus and Remus and the runic inscription reads: Romulus and Remus, two brothers,a she-wolf nourished them in Rome,far from their native land. Made from resin and approximately 7.5" wide, 3.75" tall, and .25" thick.

The only thing that is less than perfect about the Franks Casket Panel is that there is only one of them. l would really like to have the Sigurd panel at least to make a box.

I like the piece. I would suggest a less glossy finish. In the picture it looks like a flatter stone looking finish. The actual item looks shiny and plastic. I would be interested in a larger version if it were available.

I have many ersatz artefacts in my collection, and I judge this one to be truly spectacular. You'd have to break it & glue it back together to look any more authentic. And the price was a real bargain (plus you gave me a buck off just to be nice). Shipping cost was very reasonable (some internet vendors inflate shipping cost to boost their profit) & delivery was quick. Perfect.
