I it for an Eastern Slavic/ Viking Russ type helmet with Aventail. It's very robust and sturdy with a nice secure base. It does a great job holding and displaying it.

I am using this stand for a Roman Centurion's helmet (not a Viking war helmet) but it is perfect. The stand is sturdy, substantial, and works well for display.
