Comes with full leather adjustable suspension and chinstrap with buckle. The original helmet was found in Olmbutz in Moravia and is similar to those on the Bayeux tapestry. This is a style of helm that would have been common during the Viking Age. Made from 16ga steel. Helmet stand not included. 26" inside circumference, about 3lbs 8oz.

Good for the money
A great cheap helmet! I wear a 7 1/4 hat, and without a padded cap, this is a bit big - it’s doable, but it wobbles a bit if you move quickly. With a cap on underneath it’s nice and stable. The leather liner is adjustable, which is nice. It feels very comfortable except for at the crown of your head, which quickly starts to hurt - again, a cap helps with that a lot. The build quality isn’t perfect, but I kind of like that - the slightly uneven cut of the steel makes it seem a bit more handmade. On the whole, a good value for the money!

nice helm
Sturdy helm. Large fits my size 7 3/4 head. Only problem is the straps are glued into the liner, which is also glued in, not attached to the helmet. Original was probably just held on by friction. And for accurate living history purposes- the straps are unnecessarily lined and obviously machine stitched. A no go for serious historical representation. Strap issue could be fixed easily enough by a moderately experienced tinker. Good quality otherwise.
