Viking Bearded Axe

This is a great axe overall except the heads glue loosens after a couple of hits. To be expected since it's a glue only mount. A couple of teeny shims and gorilla glue fix it just fine. When it arrived I was kinda thrown off by the handles shape. It's kind of triangular, but fits the hand very well. The head is a great shape and comes pretty sharp. I'd buy it again.

Ok let me start out with first impressions. The axe is light handled with a hefty head. This is good for biting into a target or into wood. The angle of the axe head makes it more suited to battle but could still be used as a light camping axe. The hammer back on the head makes it multi functional which I love. The handle has a pleasing stain color but feels nice and clean in the hands. The handle has a tear drop shape so you can always tell where the edge is when handling it. It has enough length for decent combat performance. This was an absolute deal, would buy again 10/10.

The handle is extremely nice, good color. The fit is your had is great. This is a functioning axe that a Dane would have.

Would like to know more about the steel and wood used for the haft. But seems like a good chopper functional and a great fit on the haft. Will be buying more from viking-shield thanks.

Purchased for a Boy Scout event that is Viking themed. Item is as pictured and well worth the investment. Requires a little work to make it sharp, but so far holds an edge great. Perfect feel and just the right length

A good looking, simple axe. Good looking handle. The teardrop profile feels good in the hand.

This is a nice axe. I wanted it more for looks, for doing some photography, but it looks as if it could take an edge. It comes somewhat roughly sharpened.
