This sword is a piece of art and a weapon worthy of a Viking Jarl. The hilt is cast from antiqued bronze and reminds us of some of the most beautiful originals. The pommel is a two-piece construction like the originals with the tang peened to the base and the cap riveted to the base. Grip is leather covered wood.
Comes with nicely decorated wood-core scabbard with leather covering and detailed bronze fittings.
Tempered blade is forged from EN45 high carbon steel and is not sharpened.

Viking Jarl Sword, a mixed bag
The bronze guard and pommel and leather-wrapped grip make the hilt look and feel great. The scabbard has bronze hardware and looks great but the sword stopped 1/2 inch from going in all the way. It took some serious pounding to get the blade completely into the scabbard. The blade has some forge marks, which I like because it indicates a hand-made weapon, but some of the marks at the end of the fuller come close to being unacceptible. Overall I really like this sword but wish it didnt have these issues.
